Rethinking the RV

I was challenged to design and model a fresh and innovative solution to RV travel for a family. I designed with an adventurous family in mind, putting the focus on the destination and connection to the outdoors. With a "pull-out porch" and a double-sided use kitchen, the guests are invited to experience their destination from the inside and out.

L'Hotel de Mystere

Inspired by exploring the nooks and crannies of hotels with my own family, I wanted to create a mystery, role-playing hotel experience that would challenge guests to stretch their minds and work together with other guests.

The Hex

Classmates Kaitlyn Stankye, Alex Endicott, and I were challenged with finding what problems students, faculty, and staff had with transportation on campus and creating an innovative solution to fit their concerns. We designed a student center that would be a central hub for the community at Ringling complete with a tram system to relieve the burden of driving and parking on campus and around Sarasota. Kaitlyn, Alex, and I interviewed 3 community members, brainstormed blue-sky ideas, and created the idea together. Alex worked on the mood board and mission statements. I drafted the layouts and storyboards and created the rough model. Kaitlyn created the online survey and detailed floor plan model.

Life of the Islands

Life of the Islands is a study of retail designed themed around a specialty feature, storytelling, and under 5,000 sq ft. Inspired by the natural elements of the Hawaiian islands, the space has a modern and simple architecture to focus on the natural light from the large geometric window in the front and the rock waterfall and pond near the entrance. Retail would include fitness, outdoor, and water sports apparel and gear for outdoor activities. These are all designed with sustainability in mind, comfort, and ease of movement for the user.
